Release Candidate (RC)

January 24, 2023

A release candidate (RC) is a mobile app version that is considered the final version before it is officially released to the public. It is a version of the app that has been thoroughly tested and is believed to be free of major bugs and other issues.

The release candidate version is made available to a small group of users, such as beta testers, developers, or early adopters, for final testing and validation. This allows the developers to gather last-minute feedback and address any remaining issues before officially releasing the app.

The release candidate version is usually very similar to the app’s final version. It should not have any major changes or new features that could affect the app’s stability.

Once the release candidate version is finalized, developers will release the app to the public. This is usually done through the app store, like Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store.

It’s important to note that even though a release candidate is considered the final version, there may still be minor bugs and issues that will be addressed in future updates.
